ROADSHOWS: Pioneering the “New Norm”
The COVID pandemic radically changed the tradeshow industry in 2020. Like so many others, Fortress Building Products, a Dallas, TX based company, encountered a tremendous blow as one of their primary points of exposure were tradeshows. In response to the “new norm” and social distancing guidelines, they decided to take their tradeshow on the road to re-establish brand awareness and boost B2B sales!
Together, we imagined how we could partner on a solution to marry their vast product line into a compact, transformational asset that delivers all of the benefits of a tradeshow experience. As a result, a custom 24’ double decker trailer became the canvas in which we begin to paint a picture and tell a story using Fortress composite decking, cladding, accent lighting displays, railing, fencing, steel deck framing systems and sunshade pergolas! Lime Media carefully integrated more than 335 Fortress catalogue SKUs and partnered with their marketing team and engineers to ensure the roadshow was an authentic experience, as well as an exact expression of the brand, services and products. The entire asset and experience was designed around a single driver being able to drive from market to market, activate/deploy every element alone. This took extreme attention to detail and careful planning as the trailer has DOT restrictions on height, width and gross weight that cannot be undermined.

Now Fortress can go to their vendors, architects, designers and direct clients and afford and “hands-on” demonstration and interactive conversation about their amazing organization in their shiny new 24’ custom vinyl wrapped trailer, pulled with a fully branded F350 pickup and staffed with an amazing road manager!
