Geopath President, Kym Frank, official comment on GO2020 Update

The ‘update’ posted below was released by Geopath at 4:00 PM Friday, regarding the annual GO2020 Geopath/OAAA Out of Home Conference + Expo scheduled for April 27-29. 

Most of you know the annual OOH conference’s management rotates every other year between Geopath and the OAAA.  This year, GO2020 is Geopath’s to administer. We asked Geopath President, Kym Frank, for an official comment regarding today’s announcement update. 

“We are all disappointed that GO2020 cannot proceed as planned. This is an event that our team, committees, sponsors, and speakers have been working on for over a year. Right now, it is far more important that everyone in the industry stay safe and healthy. While the industry can’t necessarily be in the same room at the same time – given travel restrictions and safety concerns – it is important that we all stick together during these trying times. We are exploring ways to make the best of the situation and hope to be able to provide more information soon.”

GO2020 Coronavirus Update

Good afternoon,
In response to the President’s recent announcement of a National State
of Emergency due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the GO2020 conference
will not take place in April in Phoenix as scheduled. We are exploring our
options and will be in touch with further details next week.
