A Remarkable Person and Outdoor Advertising Leader

It’s not everyday we discover a truly great person in Out of Home. It is less common to find someone who publicly recognizes that remarkably great individual, as mentor and leader, sharing their story and memorializing that greatness.

Marty Williamson remembers Claude Williams, Jr. who passed away on Saturday, January 20th, at an amazing 95 years old.  Mr. Williams started Georgia Outdoor Advertising in 1964 and today his family continues his legacy with Allison Outdoor Advertising in North Carolina. Claude Williams, Jr. was a decorated veteran of World War II and recipient of the Purple Heart, Bronze and Silver stars. A Trustee for the University of Georgia and many more civic roles and responsibilities giving back to the community.
