—The Wall Test
For any business reviewing OOH artwork prior to approval:
1. Limit the number of people reviewing to no more than 2. Approval by committee is challenging due to multiple opinions and lack of consensus. Opinions can spin out of control quickly.
2. Never review artwork via computer screen. Repeat. Never review artwork via computer screen. Print the design. Post on the wall and stand 8-10 feet away to observe. This will give a more realistic view of what the copy will look like on the street. Look for clarity of the elements/copy and pop. Bear in mind, outdoor “exclaims, it doesn’t explain”.
