My friend Bill Board, was kind enough to invite me to write a periodic #OOH column. Since I am a man of few words, I promise to keep my riffs short and focused on one thing.
Top 10 Outdoor Proverbs
In honor of Easter and Passover this week, I thought I would share with you my Top 10 Outdoor Proverbs:
10. 18:13 He who answers before listening – that is his folly and his shame.
9. 22:26-27 Do not be a man who strikes hands in pledge or puts up security for debts; if you lack means to pay, your very bed will be snatched from under you
8. 2:11 Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.
7. 31:30 Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting
6. 25:16 If you find honey, eat just enough – too much of it, you will vomit
5. 14:28 A large population is a King’s glory, but without subjects a prince is ruined
4. 10:4 Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth
3. 13:7 One man pretends to be rich, yet has nothing; another pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth
2. 20:14 “It’s no good, it’s no good!” says the buyer; then off he goes and boasts about his purchase
1. 99:99 “Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is I don’t know which half.” (okay, just kidding on this one)
Happy Easter and Happy Passover everyone!
