Happy New Year once again from the Geopath team, and we hope you are all having a great start to 2021. As we are already halfway through January, many of the new year’s resolutions we all made two weeks ago are, hopefully, already underway. The aspiration to better ourselves is a goal many of us set at the start of each year, and can encompass a variety of activities such as working out more, saving money, or eating healthier.  

If you’ve committed yourself to one of the categories mentioned above, you’re not alone. According to a recent poll from YouGov, they are among the most common resolutions made for 2021!  


While all of these resolutions are worthy of the effort and commitment needed to achieve them. For today, let’s focus on the fourth most common resolution (and one I’m trying for myself), “improving my diet.” This is a task that is often easier said than done, and one many find difficult to maintain throughout an entire year. A recent Simmons 12-month study highlights this trend, as 60% of respondents reported that they “try to eat healthier these days,” but only 38% report that they actually “consider their diet to be healthy.” 

With that said, what is a great way to reach this audience that is working to eat healthier? We suggest OOH! In fact, according to a Simmons Study, those that report that they “try to eat healthier these days” are 11% more likely to notice OOH in the last 30 days than the total population!

Additionally, Geopath Insights shows that those focused on improving their health and diet engage with OOH throughout the country. Based upon the audited inventory in our system, there are 60 billion weekly impressions generated each week for “those that eat healthy and pay attention to their health,” and 56 billion weekly impressions for those that “try to eat a healthy breakfast everyday.” OOH is obviously a great medium to utilize in working to reach health-aspiring audiences!
