YESCO Outdoor Media LLC, Salt Lake City, Utah, announced that it has acquired all of the billboard assets of Roadside Outdoor Advertising, LLC, Rapid City, SD. The 87 bulletin faces are located in Eastern Wyoming, Western South Dakota, and Nebraska. Patrick O’Donnell, president of YESCO Outdoor Media, said the acquisition is aligned with its goal to be one of the West’s premier out-of-home advertisers. “Wyoming and the Black Hills of South Dakota attract more and more visitors every year. YESCO Outdoor Media operates approximately 2,250 bulletin faces across 8 states in the Rocky Mountain West.

Global, a UK Media & Entertainment group primarily a radio business, simultaneously acquired 2 UK OOH companies, Primesight and Outdoor Plus. The new company will be called Global Outdoor. It is reported it will become an overnight major player in the UK OOH space.
The newly created Global Outdoor, will have over 35,000 Primesight locations of large-scale roadside billboards, display panels at cinemas, retail outlets and ten of the UK’s airports reaching over 95% of the UK population. Outdoor Plus brings high-profile premium digital advertising faces, particularly in London totaling over 100 ‘premium OOH locations.’

East Meets West
Atlanta-based, Signal Outdoor, with shelter, bus and bench inventory in NY Metro, Tampa, Miami, Atlanta and Washington, DC and Martin Outdoor Media, Los Angeles based, with 7000 benches; the two companies are rumored to be nearly closed on a deal. Few details available. Watch this space for further info.
