Safety committee establishes new COVID-19 policies for personal protective equipment (PPE), sanitation and social distancing for all employees working on campaigns
As the the volume of travel increases and various states begin moving to open businesses, do it outdoors remains committed to safety and service of our mobile billboard drivers, field managers, brand ambassadors and clients. To prepare for upcoming campaigns, our Safety Committee has thoroughly reviewed CDC recommendations and established new policies for personal protective equipment, sanitation and social distancing.
For each and every one of our mobile billboard, field marketing or experiential marketing campaigns, these new policies apply specifically to:
- Drivers who are operating our mobile billboards
- Drivers who are attending a scheduled routing event, have the need to visit the company premises or traveling via any form of public transportation or rental car
- Any person who is physically on-site at a do it outdoors or dio event or campaign, regardless of location, job title or duration on-site
do it outdoors HQ has provided all drivers and field marketing staff with reusable masks that meet CDC guidelines and are capable of filtering out microscopic particles due to the first two layers of non woven Polypropylene, which is preferred for medical grade masks. Masks are required to be worn on company premises, during scheduled campaign events and whenever there is the chance that the driver will be within six feet of another person(s). Disposable gloves have also been provided to our drivers as an additional safety measure.
“No matter the campaign, a commitment to safety is, and always has been, our company’s key objective,” says Operations Field and Safety Manager Clark LaGanke. “Our world has changed quite a bit in a short time, and we’re ready to change with it to ensure our campaigns are managed and executed in a way that keeps everyone involved safe and healthy.”
The policy also includes new mandatory general, mobile billboard and hotel stay sanitation guidelines in order to keep our drivers safe and clean on the job at all times and prevent spread of illness.
