We recently published our annual list of the Top Women Driving Growth in Out-of-Home (OOH) for 2025. Today, we are highlighting Katelyn Pulling, Vice President, OOH Horizon Media

Katelyn “KP” started in the OOH world over 15 years ago at SWK Partners, where she began her OOH journey by planning for National and local telecom brands. She has since expanded her repertoire to encompass high-profile categories and brands, including Finance, Entertainment, Alcohol, and QSR.  Based on KP’s breadth of experiences and contributions on brands within in these categories across Fortune 500 brands has earned a recent promotion to VP OOH at Horizon Media.

As an OOH specialist, Katelyn Pulling strategically plans multifaceted national and local campaigns for a variety of clients. She specializes in advanced communication and time management skills. She has spent the last nine years at Horizon Media, where she has been promoted multiple times, from Senior Strategist to Vice President, OOH, within the organization. Before joining Horizon Media, she worked at SWK Partners, where she planned and bought out-of-home (OOH) advertising and was promoted from junior to senior account executive during her tenure. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Charleston in 2009.

After graduating into a recession, finding a job was challenging. After dealing with numerous hiring freezes, a friend of a friend suggested that Katelyn look into a company where she was working that was known to be hiring.

“She took me to coffee and let me pick her brain, and I was hooked. She submitted my resume, and the rest is history,” Katelyn said.

A strong, supportive, and caring mentor has been the most valuable resource in her career.

“Nothing can replace a guiding light in this industry…especially as you grow and mature both as a person and an OOH exec,” Katelyn said.

 Katelyn says that women need to support one another and applaud others’ successes as we climb the corporate ladder together. This will help increase the number of women in executive leadership positions in OOH.

“Talk to the OOH veterans who have come before you and learn from them and their struggles and successes,” Katelyn said. “They walked so we could run and achieve those levels of leadership that were once exclusively male-dominated roles.”

In terms of the industry gaining a more significant share of total ad spend, Katelyn says the industry needs to continue changing and evolving with the times.

She believes that looking forward to the next couple of years, the adoption of AI and figuring out how to apply it to OOH best will be key.

“Now more than ever, the OOH world is leaning into a more digitized approach to planning and strategy,” Katelyn said.
