Red Star Outdoor acquires Chicago assets from Total Outdoor
Red Star Outdoor, the iconic Chicago Out-of-Home Company, today announced the acquisition of select #OOH assets from Total Outdoor in Chicago, further cementing their dominance as the Independent #Outdoor leader in the DMA. Red Star is known for controlling some of Chicago’s most exclusive billboard opportunities, and this acquisition adds 8 additional faces their inventory in the Heart of Downtown.
It was back in July of 2018, when Red Star announced it had sold 21 OOH faces to Branded Cities in Chicago. And just just a little more than 3 months ago, Outfront Media bought 38 faces from Total Outdoor in Chicago. Will there be more Chicago OOH inventory changing in 2020? Can anyone say street furniture or transit?
“As Chicago continues to “evolve,” it’s our job to anticipate the neighborhoods that will be important to our media partners in the future. These locations, coupled with our existing inventory, allow brands to engage with a high income audience as they experience life in the Gold Coast, River North, Lincoln Park, and now the Fulton-Randolph Market districts. This deal guarantees that Red Star is part of the discussion involving the “Media Heartbeat” of Chicago,” said Dean Manone, Partner at Red Star.
“Since 2000, Red Star Outdoor has developed or operated over 125 locations in the downtown corridor. We will continue to grow our #billboard business with a “Chicago-first mentality,” said Scott Goldstein, Partner at Red Star.
