Lauren has 13 years in the OOH industry

We recently published our annual list of the Top Women Driving Growth in Out-of-Home (OOH) for 2025. Today, we are highlighting Lauren Guidi, VP Regional Sales Director East, OUTFRONT Media
Lauren Guidi is VP, Regional Sales Director for the East region at OUTFRONT Media. Lauren has 13 years in the OOH industry, starting as a sales coordinator at Titan Outdoor. She joined OUTFRONT in 2016 and progressed to a local Account Executive role, then to Local Sales Director, and most recently became the General Sales Director of the Boston office. Lauren has spent her OOH career in Boston helping to hire, grow and lead the sales and support teams. Lauren has an extensive network of relationships that have helped her grow both personally and professionally.
Lauren received her BA in English and Sociology from Union College and currently lives in Boston.
Lauren has always been interested in media and marketing and was lucky enough to land at a startup right out of college. In this position, she helped with marketing and licensing agreements in addition to managing the social media presence.
“Like many others, I ended up in an entry-level position at Titan and have loved OOH ever since. Now it’s been almost 13 years, and I can’t imagine my career path in any other industry!” Lauren said.
At OUTFRONT, she has worked with leaders who value women in leadership roles and are committed to helping them grow.
“My managers in my career have always encouraged me to grow and foster my leadership skills,” Lauren said. “I have many strong, successful female leaders around me, which keeps me motivated.”

She also finds the personal relationships between clients as well as with her peers across the company extremely valuable for building her network and confidence. She appreciates that OUTFRONT provides many resource groups and networking opportunities for women to learn and build relationships with female colleagues.

Driving Growth in OOH through Teamwork
Of all of her accomplishments, Lauren is most proud of the team she helped build and grow in OUTFRONT’s Boston office. She handled the hiring, onboarding, and training of many of their current sales team members and was able to help many grow into other positions and roles within their office.
“We have an extremely strong culture, and an amazing group of people in our office that has grown stronger over the years,” Lauren said. “My greatest success is when someone I had a hand in hiring or managing has a banner sales year or is able to grow into another role within the company.”

She was blessed with great mentorship and management and feels honored to pass that on to help lead and build future generations of OOH industry professionals.
But her successes have not come without challenges. In her first job in the industry, there were a few females on the marketing team and in other departments, but the entire sales team was comprised of men.
“There were no strong females in sales roles for me to learn from or aspire to be, which made it hard to picture myself as a successful sales rep,” Lauren said.

Luckily, she had a mentor who believed in her and pushed her to grow and take on a sales role. She wouldn’t be where she is today without his belief and confidence in her.
Lauren is a huge fan of Boston sports. She loves it when brands align their out-of-home (OOH) messaging with local sports teams. Some of her favorites over the years have been New Balance, Nike and Draftkings. She also has always loved working on Boston Marathon campaigns.
“The Marathon is such an important and meaningful day for the city of Boston, and it’s incredible to see our brands and clients celebrate and honor it by aligning their media campaigns to this day,” Lauren said.

Women in OOH
As a manager of a large team, Lauren has seen firsthand the different challenges and obstacles that women face in the workplace.
“Work/life balance is a struggle for women, and there are still not many females in top leadership positions across the industry,” Lauren said.
Although she believes the industry has made significant progress, there is still a need for further growth to increase the number of women in leadership and C-level positions.
She says women must build a strong network, have confidence in their abilities, and be willing to ask for more and advocate for themselves when they know they deserve the opportunity. Beyond having a strong support system in the office, women should take advantage of networking events and mentorship opportunities and continue to strive for leadership roles if they desire them.
“We have come a long way, and I’m really proud of the female representation across all levels at OUTFRONT, but there is definitely still progress to be made across the industry,” Lauren said.

OUTFRONT’s CMO has been a huge role model to Lauren and has significantly impacted the industry throughout her career. Jodi Senese started as an intern and worked her way to the top.
“Hopefully more women can look at leadership roles and have the confidence and ambition to get to that level,” Lauren said. “It would be great to have more female leadership for young women to look up to.”
In her career, Lauren has always strived to be a leader and a mentor.
“It’s important to me to train, engage, and guide younger employees,” Lauren said. “Helping keep employees motivated and engaged as well as enjoying what they do every day has always been a driver for me.”
She strives to maintain a positive energy and attitude when leading her teams and believes that she has grown significantly both personally and professionally by helping and training others.
“I hope my career path is an example for the women in my company that they too can grow into leadership roles with hard work and the right attitude,” Lauren said.

The Future of OOH: Technology
Lauren says there is a great deal of opportunity for the industry to get more of the total advertising spend:
- More data and audience analytics will enable us to continue providing more targeted campaigns for our clients.
- Attribution and ROI have come a long way, but there is still much to do to measure the effectiveness of OOH
- AI and AR will enable brands and consumers to connect on a more personal level, fostering a more profound connection on a day-to-day basis.
In her opinion, technology is the primary driver at present. The more we can get our technology up to speed, the quicker we will see growth. She says we need to integrate more with third-party digital channels and agency partners. She also calls for the industry to come together across vendors and agencies to create more transparency and a common language for attribution and data analytics.
“The more collaboration we can foster as an industry will help us continue to grow, and at a faster pace,” Lauren said. “Consumer demands continue to be focused on audience-driven data, and this is critical to moving forward more effectively and efficiently.”
