Aliens. They seem to be everywhere lately: whether it’s flying UFOs over the country, sending mysterious radio signals—and even, in what’s no doubt the biggest surprise on this list, in Kim Kardashian’s latest swimwear advertisements.
This cosmic ad campaign is the work of SKIMS, a clothing company co-founded by Kim Kardashian with Emma and Jens Grede in 2019, and highlights the launch of Kardashian’s second swimwear line for the brand. These eye-catching billboards depict the famous model showing off a vibrant variety of swimwear—from neon green bathing suits to beachy blue bikinis—with the help of an alien ensemble, underscoring a brand-new style that “you have to see to believe.”

Photographed by Spring Breakers director Harmony Korine, the vibes of these grainy, sun-soaked snapshots seem destined to take over the OOH market all over the country. Whether Kardashian’s trendy alien cohort is appearing on the sides of buildings or on larger-than-life billboards, one thing’s for sure: this campaign is in full swing, just in time for some hopefully warmer temperatures.
This rollout marks the 25th anniversary of Swing Media, the OOH advertising agency currently spearheading the OOH arm of the campaign. It’s hard to imagine a better 25th birthday present than getting to work with a brand owned by one of the world’s most famous media personalities. “This is our fourth year now working on a campaign with Kim Kardashian,” confirms Jason Swing, co-founder of Swing Media.
“We may be a small boutique agency, but we really do have a good amount of strong legacy clients like her. A lot of people are like, ‘how does Swing do it?’ Well, it wasn’t overnight. This was a result of over two decades of building strong relationships. And I feel very proud of it.”
After a launch packed with out-of-the-blue twists, we can only hope that this surprising campaign will continue to take us out of this world.
