Germ Joins Marketing Team to Amplify the Trade Group’s Brand 


WASHINGTON, D.C.(May 3, 2021) —The Out of Home Advertising Association of America (OAAA), the national trade association for the entire OOH and DOOH media ecosystem, today announced that Karen Germ has joined as Vice President of Marketing. Germ, who will be based in the trade group’s New York office, was brought on to implement OAAA’s industry-leading initiatives to raise awareness for and elevate OOH as a powerful and exciting format for brands today. 

In this newly established role, Germ will oversee the development of all branding and marketing activities – from value proposition to cross-channel communications – to promote OAAA’s programs, content, and events as well as strengthen membership recruitment and retention. Germ will also be focused on amplifying OAAA’s mission to educate and promote the power of OOH with advertisers, agencies, partners and consumers. 

Germ brings over a decade of experience to OAAA in B2B communications and marketing with deep experience launching cross-channel campaigns, developing brand messaging, creating event experiences and bringing industry insights to market. Germ previously served as Director of Content and Communications at Teads where she increased the company’s share of voice tenfold in her first year by launching global industry research, creating and implementing digital content strategies, and partnering with strategic clients. Prior to Teads, Germ led communications for Taboola where she successfully launched strategic PR and marketing programs in 11 countries across the globe and helped grow the company to over $1B in revenue.
