JCDecaux Makes “A List”

JCDecaux, the number one outdoor advertising company worldwide, announced that it has been commended for its climate action this year, achieving a place on global environmental impact non-profit CDP’s prestigious ‘A List’ for climate change, based on the company’s climate reporting in 2018. JCDecaux is one of a small number of high-performing companies out of thousands that are scored on A list each year. 

So what about the rest of the OOH Industry?  What are we doing?

We said before in an OOH Today post on Sept 25 2109, (JCDecaux Challenges Outdoor Advertising to Keep Pace with Renewable Energies) and it bears repeating, with all the exposure our Industry has with environmentalists, (you know what I am talking about) climate change is an absolute must for the entire OOH Industry to jump on board (pun intended) and take action today. 

Why wait for cities, advertisers and society to pressure us to take action? It will probably have to begin at the brand and agency level placing ‘recommendations’ to the Outdoor Industry. If advertisers want it, we are very good at providing it. OOH should act on its own initiative now, before it becomes someone else’s determination what we must do.
