OOH Today was notified a few days after the OOH Conference held in Carlsbad, California at the beautiful La Costa Resort from April 29 to May 1 (we were there) that there was a security concern during the event which was discreetly and professionally handled.
We will share some of the headlines with you as we finish our work on the story scheduled to be published early next week.
Is there a Gun-toting Killer Among Us?
On the eve of the OOH Media Conference, police were called due to a social posting by a ‘digital marketer’ that arguably intimated a potential mass killing threat.
Monday before the start of the OOH Media Conference, the OAAA, the outdoor industry’s premier body and co-host of the event with Geopath, was preparing for the week’s events. The speakers were lined up, and the venue was set up. Everything was going according to plan—until it wasn’t.
An email popped up, then another, a text message, “Hey, you need to look at this LinkedIn post.”
