DOOH Academy Launches First Digital & Programmatic Certification Course for the Out of Home Media Industry

New York, NY –  – DOOH Academy, a leading media industry education platform today announced the launch of the Digital & Programmatic Fundamentals course, the first in what will be a series of education programs for digital marketers, media buyers and out of home media salespeople.  Founded earlier this year by media industry veteran Jeff Gunderman and sponsored by leading out of home industry ad-tech and data companies, media agencies, industry associations, and publishers, the DOOH Academy is an education initiative designed to help bridge the learning gap in the fast-evolving world of digital and programmatic out of home media.

“The out of home media industry has been going through a monumental transformation with digital signage deployment, programmatic automation of planning and buying, audience and impression-based trading, and the ability to measure campaign effectiveness. These advances are necessary to enable out of home media to be traded on par with other digital media including online, mobile, and social media, but have caused a knowledge gap across the industry.” Said Jeff Gunderman, Founder of DOOH Academy. “DOOH Academy was created to deliver easy access to education and thought leadership, and to better prepare media planners, buyers, and sellers for the digital and programmatic future. It is exciting to launch our first course.”

The Digital & Programmatic Fundamentals course is a 5-hour streaming video course made up of more than 12 modules and 20 video segments.  The course begins with an intro to digital and programmatic out of home media and an industry outlook by leaders in the media industry.  The full program is built with the help of leading media industry advisors and taught through interviews with more than a dozen media industry experts.  The program covers all aspects of the digital and programmatic out of home process.  Each module includes a quiz and at the end of the course, participants who pass will receive a certification of completion.
