Geopath Friday Fast Fact – OOH in Ohio: The State by Numbers

by Brian SchopperMarketing Manager, Geopath

For today’s Fast Fact, let’s zoom back the lens a bit and take a look at some interesting OOH statistics across Ohio’s 88 counties!

At the state level, Geopath audits over 43,000 spots, with inventory coming from 43 different operators! There is a lot of buying power in the state, and a huge potential audience of 11.8 million individuals.

Of those 11.8 million, 22% of the population is under the age of 18. In the state, there are 8.7 million people who are ages 21+, making up nearly 3/4 of the state’s population. Ohio’s residents also love their furry friends. Here, dog owners outnumber cat owners by over 1.1 million, with 25% of the state’s population owning a dog.

Did you know that Ohio’s state flag is the only one in the US that is not rectangular, but is rather burgee-shaped? This near-triangular shape is typically used in the world of sailing, and has been the state’s flag since 1903.

While we’re on the subject of OOH in Ohio, here is newest geekOUT market infographic for the one of the DMAs in the state – the Cincinnati market!

There are more infographics on the way! Don’t see a market you are looking for? Reach out to us at geekOUT@geopath.org. Additional Market Spotlights will be added over the coming weeks.
