Conservative street artist, Sabo is at it again. Sabo pirated another #billboard location earlier this week changing out a legitimate vinyl which was advertising the CBS show, Young Sheldon and hung his own message in its place. This time spoofing gagster Sacha Baron Cohen and his new Showtime series, Who is America? To add insult to injury, the hijacked Out of Home location is directly across the street from the studios of Showtime owner, CBS.

Cohen’s show, Who is America?, opened on Showtime Sunday night. In less than 24 hours, early Monday morning, Sabo and is band of merry installers were climbing down the billboard, completing their unauthorized installation. Sabo’s billboard design clowns the Cohen show by purposely advertising misinformation to discourage viewers and disparage the show.
The creative is an image of Cohen in an Army T-shirt sitting in a wheelchair with a prosthetic leg and a “Make America Great Again” hat. The OOH copy reads: “Sacha Baron Cohen Walks Away With a Hit…and a touch of stolen valor. Who Is America? Sat, 9PM. CBS.” Remember the series is actually on Showtime, Sunday not CBS, Saturday.
In the show, Cohen’s style of pretending to be someone he is not, while interviewing unsuspecting participants, in this instance, Ex Governor Sarah Palin and Senator Bernie Sanders, Cohen allegedly posed as a wounded veteran to secure an interview with the former GOP VP candidate.
Sabo, rounds out his media plan theft by including a bus shelter. Copy is similar to the bulletin, except it promotes the Wounded Warrior Project, a charitable organization that assists injured veterans.

This hijacking happens regularly and Sabo is never caught or prosecuted. I am beginning to wonder if the Sabo pirating is tacitly approved or part of a larger campaign by CBS, Showtime and former CBS owned OUTFRONT?
When asked about the pirating, our source at OUTFRONT, who requested confidentiality, stated, “It costs us time and resources to go out and replace. We have to stop what we are doing and tend to this chaos immediately. These guys are a real headache.”
