Leaving ’em Hanging

If you can’t get the polls, you can’t vote.  The ride share company, Lyft is providing half price transportation to vote on Election Day, November 6.  With 15 million voter’s claiming they did not vote in the 2016 election because of a lack of ride to the polls, Lyft came up with #OOH creative to demonstrate the significant number of ‘ballots’ which failed to be cast, representing the 15 million votes. Obviously not 15 million ballots,  we get the idea.  Lyft’s in-house creative team , put up the mural made up of hundreds of unused ballots—at 179 Chrystie Street in New York.

This is a great idea which can be executed by anyone reading this, in your local market on a poster, shelter, kiosk, bulletin, bus(glue securely), mobile truck,  add yours here_________________________.

Its not too late.  Work the weekend, have it ready for display Monday and Tuesday.

Jesse McMillin, VP and Creative Director for Lyft, said, “We were inspired by the visual history of political signage and loved the idea of putting paint, or in this case ballots, to the wall, and New York felt like the right place to display this piece.”
