World Out of Home Organization person-to-person Global Congress confirmed for May 25-27, 2022
Toronto
Publishers Note:
WOO, which stands for the World Out of Home Organization and formally known as FEPE to us old timers, is having their OOH event May 25 -27, 2022. The Brits as we know, speak English slightly different than Americans. Their OOH Conference is called a Congress. It is a conference to us, that aside, the point is it is being held close to the States just over the boarder in Toronto. From my perspective it is an opportunity for me, the non world traveler that I am, to witness how the rest of the world gets on with Out of Home. So if I can swing a registration, yet to be detailed, I plan on attending and experience. I suggest you take advantage of the opportunity as well. I don’t know that they’ll allow it but it would be interesting to have a large American presence in attendance. Have your passport in order. Start saving your dough because the Geopath/OAAA OOH Media Conference & Expo is schedule to take place live in person May 15 – 18 at Marco Island, Florida. You cannot miss that one. We will keep you posted on the details for both.
WOO Global Congress
The first WOO Global Congress since pre-pandemic Dubai 2019 has been confirmed for Wednesday-Friday, May 25-27, 2022 in Toronto. The Congress will be held at the Sheraton Toronto Centre Hotel, 123 Queen Street West Toronto.
There will be a full speaker program including key decision-makers from Out of Home, the wider global advertising industry, analysts and commentators. WOO’s Exhibition Program will feature exciting new developments in technology and measurement, with the opportunity for exhibitors to meet leading media owners face to face.
Congress will be person-to-person with its customary line-up of pre-dinner drinks on Wednesday May 25, full-day Congress on May 26 followed by the Gala Dinner and awards presentations and a further full-day Congress on May 27. As usual on the Friday night we will hold our increasingly popular informal night out –
Registration details will be announced soon.
WOO president Tom Goddard says: “This will be a red letter event for the whole Out of Home industry as we meet our friends and colleagues from across the world in person for the first time since 2019.
“During the worst of the pandemic we instituted our World Tour of virtual events – Europe and APAC to date – which has been a great success and which we intend to continue.
“But the resumption of our in-person Global Congress is truly extra-special and we can be sure of the warmest welcome from our colleagues in North America as we meet together once again in Toronto.”
