For today’s Fast Fact Friday, we are continuing our series highlighting the top OOH spenders in specific DMAs, to help our members prepare as markets reopen. The data is sourced from Kantar and covers OOH ad spend from January to March of 2020.
Recent Fast Fact Friday articles have looked at the Cleveland, Seattle-Tacoma, and New Orleans markets, highlighting the top OOH advertisers in these DMAs. For today, lets venture into the southwest, and check out the 11th largest DMA in the country; Phoenix, Arizona.
As we look at the list of spenders, we can see that the financial sector within the Phoenix DMA spends considerably in OOH, with Desert Financial Credit Union, OneAZ Credit Union, and Barclays holding the fifth, seventh, and eighth spots on the list, respectively. The communications industry also spends considerably in OOH within the Phoenix market, with T-Mobile and Cox taking the second and fourth spots on the top OOH spenders list for the market.
Also, interesting to note, the Arizona State Lottery spent enough in OOH within this market to hold the third spot on the list. As seen in other markets, state lotteries have been avid buyers in OOH around the country, using the medium to promote their games.
