Allison Outdoor, a leading independent OOH company in the Southeast and located in the Beautiful Western North Carolina Mountains, is looking for a General Sales Manager to lead the Sales Team.

Purpose of the Job:

Responsible for local /agency advertising sales for the entire company.  Leads, trains  and motivates sales individuals who work in geographical sales areas.

Key Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate would be responsible for annual and quarterly company sales goals which meet and exceed overall company financial objectives.  They should be able to develop and execute sales and collections strategies focused on client as well as company needs.  They are responsible for recruitment as well as professional development of individual sales staff, account planning and development, accurate sales forecasting and budgeting, and must be eager to learn about emerging technology’s that impact the OOH Field.  Plus, continued public relation efforts with clients and local officials to promote a positive perception of OOH as well as the Company.

Education & Experience:

BA degree preferred but overall sales experience considered.  Minimum of 3-years plus of recent sales management experience and OOH Media Sales A Must.  The Candidate needs strong leadership and influential skills with individuals as well as a team environment a must.  The ideal Candidate will be experienced in developing customer relationships and understanding all types of Traditional/Digital advertising.

Technical Knowledge:

Must have both the sales skills and technical computer/software knowledge to make presentations and lead customer discussions to advance the sales process.


Self-starter—Independent worker: must successfully manage a remote sales staff.

Local Travel is Required

Success Factor—Ability to deliver business value to the sales operation and customer while instilling these techniques to sales staff.

Communication Skills—Ability to develop relationships and work at the executive level.  Direct interaction with the Sales Staff, Management, company staff and customers will comprise a major portion of this position.
