Pam Lipner has been an account executive in the OOH industry for over 13 years, and an account executive for Curb Taxi Media. She filled us in on what makes Curb stand out, and why Curb is destined for growth in the next few years. Here’s what she had to say:

Will Farmer: Please tell us about Curb Taxi Media

Pam Lipner: Curb Taxi Media is the leading provider of mobility-centric media for the OOH industry, owning and operating thousands of static and digital out-of-home signs for taxis and rideshare vehicles nationwide. Our product line includes the iconic Taxi TV Video Network, Traditional and High Impact Taxi Tops, Wrapped Taxis and, of course, our award winning LCD Smart Digital Tops. Additionally, we have recently extended our reach into other forms of mobility media including High Impact Bus Wraps and Mobile Billboards. Curb combines the benefits of traditional out-of-home advertising with cutting-edge digital technology to reach millions of on-the-go consumers every day. In addition, we deliver relevant content to audiences nationwide. Curb has offices in NY, Boston, San Francisco, New Orleans, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, and we are proud members of OAAA, DPAA, Ad Club of NY and Geopath.

WF: What would you like brands and the OOH Industry to know about your shop?

PL: Curb Taxi Media is very unique compared to other media companies. We are a division of Curb Mobility, a transportation technology company that provides mobile app solutions, payment solutions and media which connect with millions of drivers, passengers and consumers all over the globe. Our media division is comprised of seasoned veterans who live and breathe the taxi and mobility industry. As more companies enter this space, we believe that this vertical is only going to grow over the next few years. While most traditional OOH media focuses only on contextual venues and location, our media focuses on audience and performance. We complete the gap for an OOH plan when billboards or street furniture can’t reach an audience and we do it at the highest frequency rate.

WF: What differentiates your business from others?

PL: In terms of selling ads on cars, we are the experts, and no one has sold more than the team at Curb. This has made us the most trusted leader in this taxi space for almost 20 years. All our operations are done in-house, and we only invest in the highest quality signage. We are a dynamic, results driven team that loves to come up with solutions for our clients and agency partners.

WF: Discuss or share OOH campaigns by your shop.

PL: We are known for several iconic campaigns over the years but the ones that come to mind is the award winning United Airlines taxi top campaign which utilized the GPS enabled digital taxi tops to showcase real-time comparisons of travel times for each taxi between both JFK and Newark airports.  We helped the client and agency win 2 Cannes Lions awards. We have also implemented several  dynamic campaigns…for example an American Express campaign to pay by points using our interactive TaxiTV screens.  With our static assets, we have sold stand out 3D extension executions and showcasing props inside our taxi canopies like the taxi top ears for the Universal film “Cats”.
