MRC Issues Finalized OOH Media Standard

Following months of vetting and public comment, an out-of-home working group of the Media Rating Council has released the final version of “phase 1” of the U.S. marketplace’s standard for measuring ad exposure to the medium.

Some see the new standard as a backward step for a medium that in recent years had moved to estimates developed by U.S. OOH industry joint industry committee Geopath that have been based on whether people are actually likely to see out-of-home ad exposures.

Wayfinding Signs Begin Tentative Rollout in Santa Monica

Santa Monica’s first official on-street placement of the long-awaited digital Wayfinder Kiosk program will take place next week, according to the City of Santa Monica. IKE and BIG Outdoor have teamed up to roll out “up to 50 kiosks” and potentially raise in the region of $5 million per year for the city.
