Out of Home Specialist Mobile Media Announces New Productions Division Ahead of Milestone Anniversary and Launches New Look Rebrand
The mobile advertising company, Mobile Media, has announced the birth of its new productions branch, which will produce fully immersive and bespoke brand experiential campaigns courtesy of its in-house workshop and fleet of advertising formats. Having previously produced end-to-end experiential productions for the likes of Disney+, McDonalds, LEGO and Ferrari, the out of home specialist is further expanding into the world of immersive media on behalf of brands across the UK.
Mobile Media Productions will be led by newly appointed Creative Business Director Ben Smith, whose previous experience leading campaigns for the likes of Grand Visual and Tommy, promises to bring a thrilling degree of quality to the business.
Speaking of his reasons for the move, Smith said:
“I joined Mobile Media to lead Mobile Media Productions because I believe in the power of immersive experiences to create genuine connections. The company’s innovative culture truly resonates with me, and I’m excited to work alongside a talented team to push boundaries in how we engage audiences. This role is a perfect fit for my passion for crafting memorable moments that elevate brands and connect deeply with consumers.”
The news comes ahead of the mobile out-of-home specialist’s 40th Anniversary in 2025. A fresh new brand look will mark the significant milestone and reflect the bold innovation that has put them at the forefront of the sector for the last 40 years.
Managing Partner Charlie Pounds explains the motivation for this brand redesign, and what can be expected from the family-run business as a result:
“We are looking forward to celebrating the 40th anniversary of Mobile Media and our invention of the mobile billboard, whilst growing and innovating through our new Productions division which will widen our full-service offering.
Our name represents trust, accountability and innovation so we want to shout about that and remind everyone why we are still thriving in business. Taking the reins of the family business from Mobile Media’s founder, my mother Karen Olsen, has been an honour. I am so proud that we can continue to bring in and develop new talent like Ben, who will bolster our diverse team, and utilize and expand on our award-winning experience and skills.
We have couples working together at Mobile Media as well as parents and their adult children within our team, some members of which some have been here for over 20 years. Together, we make up our very own family and we are excited to be heading into the next decade together, delivering more award-winning campaigns and end-to-end productions with exceptional creativity.”

Mobile Media has led attention-grabbing campaigns for the likes of Sky Sports, Lynx, JD Sports and Diesel in 2024 alone, and shows no signs of slowing down as it heads full throttle into another successful year – undoubtedly with a large LED screen following closely behind.
