Here I am all stoked to pen you up something good when my better half informs me that we are late for a Sunday afternoon barbeque. Oh well, the summertime blues. Hope all my outdoor comrades are doing the same. In any event, I will lay it down as a “teaser” with the hopes to follow up on the subject in the next couple weeks.
But first we interrupt this normally televised broadcast to bring you a shout out to Steve Lind and his article on the Coleman vs. the YETI. Coleman vs YETI – OOH TODAY

Loved it. And Steve, IMHO, I think New Tradition, Orange Barrel, Branded Cities and a select group of other ground breakers have channeled the YETI in a major way. The bigger question to me is how do you turn a gigantic sausage factory like OUTFRONT or Clear Channel into a luxury brand? Not easy to say the least, particularly when you have lots of stuff you have been selling by the pound for a long time.
Which brings me to the bridge in my song. I personally am loving the latest 13-D filings. The Times They are A Changin. I have $100 that says that we are going to see some tectonic shifts in the industry in the next couple years. Anyone else want the under on that?
