Am I the last one to learn what “rawdogging it” means?

Needless to say, on the flight back from Munich yesterday, after a very mellow (not) trip to Oktoberfest with some good friends from the outdoor business (I am leaving names out to protect the innocent), I was not up for a rawdog. So I popped an alka-seltzer and flipped on the 10 year old seatback entertainment system and spent 45 minutes scrolling to figure out what I wanted to watch. For some reason Anthony Hopkin’s face popped on the screen and I said to myself, self, anything Anythony does is worth watching.
Well I am happy to report this one, “One Life” is not only good, but inspirational and a real wake up call.
Maybe I was a bit sensitized since we took one day off to visit Dachau while in Munich, but without giving away the whole movie, I have to tell you that the good guy wins. You want to shake away the fog and find out what the real meaning of life is? This is the movie for you. Don’t have time for the movie? What a friggin shame. My guess is that there are many good women and men in this business that have had a real impact on many people. We go about living our ordinary lives and that’s the way it should be…but don’t forget all the customers and lessors and suppliers and other partners that you have helped or will help. Or the charities you got behind…or the 100’s of other things you do to make someone else’s life better. So here is your Monday morning inspiration: Keep Up the Good Work…and Know That it Matters!
