Huntington Billboards Acquires Certain Assets of Giesken Outdoor
Greenville, OH – Huntington Billboards, an owner and operator of outdoor advertising signs throughout the Midwest, announced that it has acquired certain assets of Giesken Outdoor Advertising. Giesken Outdoor operates a billboard plant in Northwest Ohio, with both digital and static billboards. Tom Giesken, an operator associate of IBOUSA, started the company in 2000 after stints at Root Outdoor Advertising and Lamar.
Huntington Billboards purchased certain static and digital structures from Giesken Outdoor. Stark Capital Solutions represented Giesken Outdoor in the sale of the assets and provided the acquisition financing for Huntington Billboards. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Reaction to the Transaction:
|“Tom is a great friend, mentor, and billboard operator. Huntington has benefitted in so many ways over the years from Tom’s wisdom and expertise. We are excited to be acquiring these great assets and adding them to our expanding Midwest inventory. We look forward to continued partnerships with Tom and additional expansion in the future.”
– Huntington Billboards CEO Justin Powell
|“Justin has been a very good friend for a long time with similar values and business practices. I am comfortable that with Justin (and his team) at the helm and handling all my sales and landowners it will be a seamless process and good experience for all!”
– Giesken Outdoor President Tom Giesken
|“This transaction was very meaningful for both parties. The assets filled in a gap of coverage for Huntington’s footprint, and the timing was right for Giesken in order to focus on other existing business ventures. Stark Capital was honored to represent Giesken in the sale, as well as provide the capital to Huntington.”
– Stark Capital VP Craig Berry
