Enterprise Level Solutions in Photography

And why are you wasting your time not using one?

Photos and imagery tell your story from start to finish.  To capture that story, you have used a hodgepodge of resources to essentially duct tape your photo story together.  Whether you employ in-house photographers, hire freelancers, cajole staff to go shoot photos, expect it from install crews or do it yourself, you are constantly in a battle to get the photos you need at a quality level that is desired while continually wasting your time doing a nonproductive task.

Good OOH photos are about knowing how to setup the camera, how to frame a photo for OOH and then adding a dose of simple common sense.

What hurts is when you feel forced into getting photos, you often overspend, because you don’t really know how to qualify the person you are hiring so you tend to shoot the moon and hire pro photographers who are happy to take fat jobs because it pays the bills.   You measure your need for photos by two legs of a 4 legged chair (the 4 are quality, price, speed and ease,) as you forget how much time and resources you are putting into just getting that covered let alone the short time to which you actually need the photos.

So here’s something to think about, there are over 3 times as many cameras in the world than people.  While it is clear not all people can take your photo because they may not have the skill or equipment needed, you need not hire a full on pro to take a photo of a billboard unless it is a special shot, such as time lapse or a digital board.

Pro Photography embraces the combination of skill, equipment and being at the right place and the right time.

This is about understanding there is not a defined line that separates a person with a cell phone from a small expensive group of professional photographers.  Reality is much different as there are enthusiasts who have the skill and equipment but don’t make a living at photography and cascading down from there are many levels of photographers that provide ample options for acquiring images.  Drones too, provide an array of choices from standard drone cameras, to mirrorless cameras mounted to drones, to infrared and more.

The recent hurricanes provide an example for how you can grab photos of damage of structures before you send a crew out with simple cell phone photography
