NEW YORK, – DPAA, the global trade marketing association connecting Out-of-Home (OOH) media with the advertising community while moving OOH to digital, proudly announced today the appointment of Jim Wilson, CEO of Talon America, to its Board of Directors.

Wilson is the U.S. CEO of Europe-based, private equity backed Talon Outdoor. Previously, Wilson founded Premion, the market leading and award-winning OTT/CTV advertising services and technology platform and joint venture between TEGNA and Gray Television. He has held a number of U.S. and global leadership positions, including COO of TouchTunes, a venue-based digital music platform and OOH advertising company, and CEO/Board Member Atari. Earlier in his career, he founded the games business at Universal Studios and became Global Head of Development for Vivendi Universal Games.

“In what is sure to be a rebound year for advertising and out-of-home advertising, it’ll be great to have Jim on our Board of Directors helping to guide the industry,’ said Barry Frey, President and CEO of DPAA. “His knowledge and experience working across many forms of digital media and this current buy-side role gives the organization a unique point of view.”

Wilson joins the DPAA Board with buy-side perspective, serving media owners, programmatic companies, research and data firms. The DPAA Board also includes the organization’s Brand CEO Council, further delivering on DPAA’s mission to connect out-of-home media with the advertising community.

“The DPAA led by Barry Frey and its notable board is making significant impact in driving the digital OOH industry forward through education, effective thought leadership, and defining and setting industry standards and practices,” said Jim Wilson, CEO of Talon America. “This past year emphasized the importance of the flexibility, automation and creativity that DOOH delivers for marketers looking for audiences and outcomes as part of a cross-platform buy. DOOH is on an accelerated growth trajectory and I look forward to working with the DPAA to further drive advocacy for the medium with brands, agencies and industry partners.”
