Daktronics Welcomes Sign Companies and Industry Professionals to Annual Sales Expo

In-person event taking place September 15-17 in Brookings, SD

BROOKINGS, S.D. –  Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, is pleased to announce that Sales Expo will be live and in person again this year. Sign professionals can gather to network and take in knowledge from industry professionals and inspirational speakers.

Sales Expo is a tuition-free seminar that will take place September 15-17 at the Daktronics corporate office in Brookings, SD. This year’s topics include technology, sales strategies and demonstrations.

The keynote of Sales Expo takes place on Thursday. Nationally recognized business strategist Lynn Jensen-Nelson presents on “Influence & Engagement: The Keys to Success” to help attendees hone their leadership techniques, apply proven methods and create an attractive company culture.

“Daktronics is the only LED manufacturer to offer an educational experience for sign professionals,” says Jess Bern, Daktronics On Premise marketing strategist. “This is the 39th year for the seminar. It’s part of our overall mission, to provide our sign partners access to the latest product knowledge and business strategies so they can have more opportunities for success.”

Sales Expo was all virtual in 2020. While that was a success and offered sign company professionals flexibility, being back in person provides so many more opportunities, including connecting with other professionals during breaks, dinners discussion groups and social gatherings.

The yearly Sign Design Contest also gives sign companies the chance to compete against their peers for the opportunity to win money and bragging rights for the best design of the year. They can compete in two categories – 49 square feet and smaller and 50 square feet and larger.

“The Sign Design Contest is always a favorite,” says Bern. “It’s a way to show off some of the most creative and challenging projects of the year, and it’s a great idea exchange as well. Sign companies can submit their designs and then everyone gets a chance to vote for the winner.”

Sign professionals can also participate in the annual pheasant hunt or golf outing at the end of Sales Expo.

Sales Expo virtual option
For those who are not able to attend in person, Daktronics is using its experience from 2020 to offer a virtual option as well. People who prefer this should also register for Sales Expo on the website.
