Clear Channel Outdoor Chairman & CEO, Calling it Quits After 12 Years
Eccleshare Out—Wells Moves Up

William Eccleshare, the 66 year old Chairman and CEO of Clear Channel has announced he is leaving after nearly 12 years with CCO. Eccleshare, was on the agency side of the ad biz prior to joining Clear Channel in September 2009. The leadership position will move to Scott Wells, the Chief Executive of the Americas division, in January 2022.
Wells, was an Operating Partner for Bain Capital for nearly 8 years before his first start in OOH as a Director for CCO in September 2008 then becoming CCO Americas CEO March 2015 to present date.
