Networking and Conversation-Driven Dinner, Joining Sydne Mullings, Microsoft’s CMO Americas,
Media Pioneer Byron Allen, DPAA CEO Barry Frey and other Guests
NEW YORK – New York Post Financial Correspondent Lydia Moynihan, often seen as a guest on CNN and FOX News, is bringing her unique POV on the biggest news stories to DPAA’s Newsmakers Dinner, taking place October 12 in Midtown Manhattan. An annual gathering of news, media, marketing, technology and advertising leaders, the VIP, invite-only dinner takes place on the eve of each year’s DPAA Global Video Everywhere Summit, the biggest one day media and marketing industry event of the year – which is being held this year on October 13 at Pier Sixty in the Chelsea neighborhood of NYC.
Built around connections and conversation, and hosted by DPAA President & CEO Barry Frey, the dinner incorporates networking, excellent food and drink, and a fireside Q&A on topics that go beyond the advertising and marketing world, and cover the overall state of media, global events, technological disruption from AI and other innovation, and – taking place this year ahead of the notable U.S. midterm elections – a touch of politics. In addition to Moynihan, Frey will talk with Microsoft CMO Americas Sydne Mullings, and bring guests into the discussion, including the next day’s opening keynote speaker, media pioneer Byron Allen.
“From the state of media, to the impact of AI, to the elections, there are no shortage of topics to talk about at the Newsmakers Dinner, which incorporates themes important to advertising agency leaders and brand marketers with a broader discussion about topics we are all talking about at the dinner table,” said Frey. “Over the years we’ve had Chuck Todd talk about the importance of local communities and media, FOX News’ Jessica Tarlov and The View’s Alyssa Farah Griffin discuss the unique dynamics ahead of the presidential election, BBC’s Sumi Somaskanda bring an international news POV to the discussion, and Mark Bezos share his experience from a recent trip to space. Hearing Lydia’s thoughts given her focus on areas of great interest to our guests – finance, technology, and politics – will be a great way to kick off the week.”
Moynihan covers the most notable stories at the intersection of Washington, Wall Street, and Silicon Valley providing indispensable reporting on the people, places, and policies shaping our world. During her time at The Post, she has conducted interviews with notable business leaders including Palmer Luckey, Marc Andreessen, Barry Diller, Bill Ackman, and Eric Schmidt, as well as senators and presidential candidates. She’s broken dozens of stories, including efforts to ban TikTok, Rudy Giuliani’s indictment, and Trump’s SPAC, and has hosted panels at the 92NY, the Future Investment Initiative, and Global Alts.
