Formerly known as WOW Media, WOW.’s rebrand mirrors the transformation of Inglewood, the city at the heart of the company’s growth strategy. As Inglewood undergoes a renaissance as a hub of entertainment with the development of an emotive single-word moniker supports WOW.’s long-term vision of becoming Los Angeles’s most awe inspiring, top-of-mind advertising solution. The period at the end of the new WOW. logo was strategically added to underscore the emotional response each spectacular elicits in passersby. DOOH ad spend is on a meteoric rise in the US, projected to grow by double digits annually through 2027, with an influx of ad spend in the greater Los Angeles area. As the market grows, WOW.’s target audience remains the same with a heightened focus on attracting more premium brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Rolex, and Louis Vuitton.

Background and Motivation for the Rebrand

Design Details
New brand elements including a revamped logo, color scheme, and tagline reflect WOW.’s evolved positioning, without losing its sense of humor or appetite for risk. The emphasis on a luxurious and sophisticated look-and-feel illustrates a brand promise of not sharing ad space with anything that could diminish a client’s prestige. A zoomed in look on the period at the end of the logomark reveals a pixel device that is used within the brand system to represent forward motion, dynamism, and a nod to the frame shape on all of the company’s billboards. WOW. enlisted agency Matter of Form for branding and design consultancy, and Wonderland for its website and motion work.
