GeekOUT Fast Fact Friday
For today’s Fast Fact Friday, we are continuing our series examining the top OOH spenders in specific DMAs, to help our members prepare as markets reopen. The data is sourced from Kantar and covers OOH ad spend from January to March of 2020.
Recent Fast Fact Friday articles have looked at the Denver, Cleveland, and Seattle-Tacoma markets, highlighting the top OOH advertisers in these DMAs. For today, lets travel down south to the banks of the Gulf of Mexico, and analyze the top spenders in New Orleans.
As we look at the list, it is interesting to note that Government and Political organizations are big spenders in “the Big Easy.” The Louisiana State Lottery holds the top spot on the list, while the National World War II Memorial Museum spends enough in OOH to take the fifth spot. Additionally, political spending for state, local, and judicial campaigns sit towards the bottom of the top ten list in OOH spending, taking up the eighth and ninth places.
The insurance industry also spends considerably in OOH within the New Orleans market, with Aetna and Geico coming in at the sixth and tenth spots on the list, respectively.
