Super Bowl Sunday is almost here. The Philadelphia Eagles face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52 in Minneapolis, Feb. 4, 2018. Kick off is at 6:30 p.m. EST. The game will be broadcast on NBC. Joining in the hype are the Outdoor Advertising companies promoting their markets’ respective teams.

Judging by the number of designs and signs favoring the Eagles, the Patriots are doomed to lose. The Eagles have a decided edge in OOH numbers over the Patriots. However, Billboards don’t suit up, pass, run or tackle and the Pats have Brady and Belichick.

We gathered photos of the diverse OOH creative for the big game and shared them below.  If you have Super Bowl party photos, email them to billboard@oohtoday.com and we will add them for a special release later in the week.  Here is a link to the OAAA  / Super Bowl OOH Slide Show on Sunday’s game.

Starting off with a mystery photo below which was delivered in a plain white envelope to the OOH Today offices yesterday.  OOH Today makes no judgement only reporting.

Seriously, the Eagles Outdoor Advertising kicked off with Intersection and a mix of media with the start of the season. The OOH ranged from digital and print on buses, trains, street furniture and OOH digital urban panels throughout the city.  Read about it click here⇒ A Look at the Philadelphia Eagles’ Successful Kick-Off Campaign

Moving on to Super Bowl support, Lamar Advertising started promoting the Eagles early in the season and continued for Super Bowl LII, with messages featuring QB, Nick Foles.  Foles appears on 30 digital billboards around Philadelphia and Reading, Pa. The messages and the photos were the efforts of Dave Peacock, General Manager at Lamar Advertising, Philadelphia. The Washington Post ran an article on the Peacock/Lamar/OOH promotion. It appears Clear Channel Outdoor scored business with 6 digital billboards in Philadelphia and South Jersey. (see below) The Super Bowl-themed billboards are sponsored by ‘Visit Philadelphia’, the official tourism marketing agency for the Philadelphia area.  ‘Visit Philadelphia’ also bought 10 digital billboards in Minneapolis, with the message “Fly Eagles Fly, With Love, Philadelphia, XOXO”.

Adams Outdoor couldn’t resist joining in with 2 designs below saying, Everyone ‘loves a good Underdog story.’
