OOH …Here’s One Thing
by Jim Johnsen,
Managing Director, Johnsen, Fretty & Company
Twas the night before Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa, when all thro’ the office, No one was working, not even a lease person. The decorations were hung by the front desk with care.
In hopes that year end bonuses would soon be there. The boom trucks were nestled all snug in their garage.
While visions of flapping vinyl echoed in the ops manager’s head…
When out on Times Square there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my prefab desk to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the levolors, and threw up the sash.
The L.E.D.’s on the breast of the new fallen snow (wait its global warming there is no snow)
Gave the luster of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature double decker bus, and eight agency buyers on top, With a CEO driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment, it must be St. Nick (or Jeremy, Sean, Scott or Jean-Luc).
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and call’d them by name:
“Now! Dasher, now! Dancer, now! Prancer, and Vixen,
“On! Comet, on! Cupid, on! Donder and Blitzen.
“To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
“Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!”
Okay Johnsen, whats the point?
Never stop believing the magic.
