Fast Fact Friday —Philadelphia Market Snapshot

by Brian SchopperMarketing Manager, Geopath

For today’s Fast Fact, we’re going to take a look at the Philadelphia market, whose NFL team the Eagles are facing off against the NY Giants in the Divisional Round of the playoffs this Saturday!

Philadelphia of course has its own storied and well-known history. But did you know that Philadelphia is home to nearly countless “firsts” in the United States? The first university, hospital, botanical garden, library, mint, and stock exchange (among many others!) were all established in Philly.

Philadelphia is also considered the “mural capital” of the US with over 2,000 outdoor murals, and boasts more sculptures than any other major city (second only to Paris, France)!

Let’s take a look at the newest geekOUT market infographic for the Philadelphia DMA.

In this newest round of infographics, we are examining top OOH spenders in the DMA by overall category, shedding some light on the industries that most utilize OOH within the market. There is a very varied mix of industries represented by the top OOH spenders here. Given the large number of medical institutions and colleges/universities within the city, it’s not surprising to see those two industries represented among the top spenders.

These new infographics can be found in the geekOUT Library, and are available to all Geopath members. Don’t see a market you are looking for? Reach out to us at geekOUT@geopath.org. Additional Market Spotlights will be added over the coming weeks.
