We asked Moreland Signs’ president Al Hoke to tell us more about his company. He also expanded upon why he is in the Outdoor Industry, and what keeps him in it. Here’s his response:
Will Farmer: Why Moreland Signs?
Al Hoke: Moreland Signs is a small regional locally owned OOH media company. We are in the business for many reason’s but primarily to provide local and some regional businesses gain exposure to potential customers. We like to help them succeed in growing their business and expanding their services to more of their customers. We are pleased to hear that one of our advertiser’s has gained business from their ads placed on our billboards. This always keeps us motivated to remain in the business and offer our services to a wider range of clients.
We gain new accounts through cold calling, word of mouth from our clients, as well as from internet searches. Being a small company requires us to be able to answer any questions pertaining to our markets and remain helpful in assisting potential customers select the right location for their markets. Since we are a small company with limited locations we do not have access to large national buys or national exposure. We get to know our customers and try to assist them to get the largest return on their investment.
Our markets include Tuscaloosa, Al into northern Mississippi along I-22 into Memphis, TN. We also have boards in West Memphis, AR and Marion, AR as well as some of the immediate surrounding areas.
