California Campus Gets Solar-Powered Benches
Bluebolt Outdoor has installed solar-powered benches on the California State University – Dominguez Hills campus. Provided to the university at no cost, the benches are equipped with device-charging capabilities, all powered by the sun. Each bench features two backlit advertising panels.

NJ Township Plans to Crack Down on Billboards
The Edison Township Council recently introduced a 10-page ordinance aimed at amending zoning guidelines for billboards, after the Zoning Board of Adjustment rejected plans to build one last year, resulting in a lawsuit. A public hearing is scheduled for later this month.

Walmart Connect Opens Its Doors to More Advertisers
Walmart is expanding its retail media business to include small marketers, international suppliers, and brands that have not traditionally sold their products in its stores, such as automotive and financial marketers. These updates are expected to fuel greater competition among marketers using Walmart Connect, which in turn may drive up costs.

IAB Australia: Agencies Taking up DOOH in Droves
Eight out of ten (82%) of agency respondents in Australia use DOOH as a significant or regularly considered part of their advertising activity, up from 69% in 2022, according to research released by IAB Australia. More education and experience is needed to supercharge the usage of programmatic DOOH, which was used by half (52%) of respondents as a significant or regularly considered part of their advertising activity.
