Lamar Advertising Inks 5-Year Contract to Manage All Advertising on Akron Metro Transit Bus System
Lamar to manage external and internal ad displays on network’s fleet of 231 buses
Baton Rouge, LA – Lamar Advertising Company, one of the largest out of home media companies in the world, today announced that it has secured a 5-year transit advertising contract with Akron Metro, the company providing bus services in and around Akron, OH. Lamar will manage all exterior and interior advertising displays across the network of 139 large buses and 92 smaller paratransit buses ridden by more than 5 million passengers annually.

With the new contract, Lamar becomes Akron Metro’s first advertising partner. Brands that advertise with Lamar on Akron Metro buses will gain full coverage and access to a market that features the University of Akron, Goodyear Tire Global HQ and a wide range of summer concerts and events in the downtown area.
