Geopath is hiring; the salary range tops at $425K. Charlie Day’s Four Walls Whiskey, And Clear Channel is cashing in
weekend update

Here’s your weekly roundup of the top stories across Out-of-Home, curated with commentary from BB. From significant leadership opportunities to global measurement shifts and celebrity speakers hitting the OOH stage, this week had a little of everything.
1. Geopath President and CEO Job Listing

Not an OOH job posting. Who is throwing their name in the ring? We’ve heard a few names mentioned, but none from sources solid enough to report. In the past, roles like this tended to get filled with enough time for a big announcement at a significant OOH event—like the upcoming OOH Conference in Boston this May. Of course, that’s just speculation based on past patterns.
Geopath is seeking a strategic leader who excels in building and managing high-performing teams through effective delegation, professional development, and decisive leadership. The ideal candidate will foster an inclusive, adaptable work culture that values feedback and team building. Proven experience in executing strategic goals and tracking progress through KPIs or similar metrics is essential.
Candidates should also bring strong business and financial skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and meeting key financial targets. Experience managing a hybrid and decentralized workforce is essential. The annual salary range for the role is $375,000 to $425,000.
B.B.’s Take: I have heard a few names bantered around for this position. None of them makes sense for this low salary range. How in the world are we going to be able to hire the right person for $ 425,000?
2. Actor and Producer Charlie Day to Keynote 2025 OAAA OOH Media Conference as Full Agenda Goes Live

Actor, writer, and producer Charlie Day will deliver the keynote address at the 2025 OAAA OOH Media Conference, scheduled for May 5–7 in Boston. Renowned for co-creating and starring in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Day has also ventured into entrepreneurship with the launch of Four Walls Whiskey. His keynote will focus on how bold storytelling, cultural resonance, and creative risk-taking can drive real-world impact, aligning with the conference theme, “The Power of Presence.”
The conference agenda features a lineup of prominent brand and media leaders, including Todd Kaplan, North America CMO of Kraft Heinz; Sarah Moore, CMO of Cracker Barrel; and a CMO roundtable with executives from Bose, New Balance, and CBRE.
B.B.’s Take: Charlie Day speaking at 2025 OOH Conference in Boston. Need I say more? OK, I will. Charlie better bring a few hundred mini bottles of the hootch to share with the audience. He must know something about our group’s tastes for whiskey to spend time with us promoting it. I trust he has a few OOH buys running with ‘Four Walls’.

3. The Out of Home Industry in New Zealand unifies audience measurement

The Out of Home (OOH) advertising industry in New Zealand has unified its audience measurement approach by adopting a single-measurement currency. This initiative aims to provide transparency, offering full access and self-service capabilities to agencies and marketers. The move is designed to enhance the credibility and reliability of OOH audience data, ensuring that stakeholders have consistent and comprehensive insights for their advertising strategies.
B.B.’s Take: Wait…New Zealand OOH is unifying its measurement to a single-measurement currency? Of course they are. It is only here in the States that our heads are buried in our sandy beaches, pondering the complexities of multiple measurement currencies.
4. Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings, Inc. Completes Sale of its Europe-North Segment to a Subsidiary of Bauer Media Group

Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings, Inc. has finalized the sale of its Europe-North segment to Bauer Radio Limited, a subsidiary of Bauer Media Group, for $625 million. After repaying $375 million in outstanding term loans and approximately $12 million in accrued interest, the company received net cash proceeds of about $243 million. Clear Channel plans to utilize the remaining funds to reduce its debt further, aiming to enhance its balance sheet and increase Adjusted Funds from Operations (AFFO).
B.B.’s Take: 1. Bauer Radio Limited…seems like it was not too long ago that another company had an unsuccessful OOH/Radio combined organization that did not fair too well. That’s being kind. 2. Net cash proceeds of about $243 million. That will make a big dent in their debt…NOT! I’m glad the stockholders are running the company these days, it seems. $243 Million…
