Worker falls installing OOH above Victoria's Secret flagship store
Installing, erecting, and building OOH signs is a very dangerous job. We should never forget that, nor take it for granted.
A billboard installer, Vladamir Cruz, tragically died after falling from a lift while replacing a billboard above a Victoria’s Secret store in Manhattan on Sunday, January 26, 2025.
A bus hit his boom lift just after 9:30 pm, throwing him 20 feet. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. No charges have been filed against the bus driver, and none of the bus’s passengers were injured.
We should continually recognize the high risk and expertise required for erection and installation.
