A prettier bus stop is one thing, but most bus stops don’t even cover the basics, like a place to sit. The best it gets is something to lean on, talk about a beast!
Now to you and me, no seat is no big deal. But let’s expand the view. Some 19 million Americans report mobility issues, throw in people carrying bags, kids, backpacks, and breakfast, not to mention pregnant women, the weekend warrior on crutches, and our seniors….. and we’ve got a whole lot of people who can use a place to sit and wait or rest.
And let’s not get started on shade for those standing in 100-degree heat for 20 minutes!
