Nice work Lamar, Waco
Here is music to everyone’s ears in the OOH business.
“We want to make sure that you don’t forget that we’re here and everyone’s open for business,” said Todd Bertka, Waco Convention Center & Visitors Bureau Director.
The city of Waco, Texas is renewing eight static billboards at a cost of $104,000 (lower than last year) with Lamar. The story is, the city is “reskinning” its creative this year because of heavy road construction and fear of travelers bypassing the city.
With that sense of urgency and inconvenience, the city council approved renewal of the annual contract with Lamar along the Interstate, which are billboards the city has controlled for years to advertise. And an upsale, Bertka adds they are going to lease a ninth, digital located on Interstate 35 S, north of Waco, to help promote six to eight lesser-known attractions the city has to offer. Talking about community cooperation and inventory security.
Nice work Lamar, Waco.
