The Testaments Arrives in Los Angeles
With an Immersive Dollhouse Storefront Campaign
Hulu teamed up with Publicis and Visual Feeder to launch an immersive storefront campaign for The Testaments, transforming a prominent Melrose Avenue storefront into a cinematic, projection-based dollhouse experience inspired by the world of the series.
Blending large-scale window graphics with layered projection content, the installation turned the storefront into a theatrical, room-by-room environment that invited passersby into the haunting atmosphere of The Testaments. Animated visuals moved seamlessly across the space, creating the illusion of a living dollhouse unfolding behind the glass.
Designed to extend the series beyond the screen and into the urban landscape, the activation translated the visual language and emotional tension of The Testaments into a public-facing experience. The dollhouse-inspired environment created a layered sense of depth and voyeurism, echoing the themes of surveillance, control, and confinement central to the series.
At street level, the storefront became an immersive window into the world of The Testaments, capturing attention along Melrose Avenue through cinematic storytelling, motion design, and architectural projection. The experience invited audiences to engage with the series in a way that felt both intimate and unsettling.
The result was a high-impact experiential campaign that reimagined vacant retail space as immersive media architecture. By combining environmental design, motion storytelling, and projection technology, Hulu brought The Testaments into the physical world through a theatrical storefront experience for audiences in Los Angeles.
