OOH…Here’s One Thing

I know, I know, I set myself up for a big reveal this Monday. What came out of the IBO conference this time? Well, first off, there I was walking down St Peter’s Street in New Orleans (not to be confused with St Stephen’s by the Grateful Dead) with PJ, Brett and Stan, and low and behold a big bad ass white Harley pulls up to the light with Kashmir blaring (or was it Ramble On). We could have sworn it was Jesse London, but I don’t think his is white. But let me tell you, Harley, Poydras and St Peters, NOLA, Kashmir, the company…it put a punctuation mark in my brain.
With that said, it did feel like many a’ other IBO conferences. Some good presentations, lots of chatter and many o’ operators glad to be sharing experiences. Perhaps a few points of note.
- Charlie Bullfrog looked very relaxed, having just cashed in.
- Great to see Steve Haggard back in the lending business with Northrim Bank.
- Most constituents were still asking what happened to Becky Smith.
- I unfortunately got stuck on a conference call and did not get to see Neil Morris‘ presentation, but I love his concept. Use AI to mine the flash frozen leads to increase yield. If there is something we should be talking about…it’s that. Superoptimal.ai
I will say, there is something in the air in New Orleans that makes us all want to go Mardi Gras, if just for a night.
