T-Mobile Take Over MLB All-Star Fan Fest

Charging Tables Take Over MLB All-Star Fan Fest

Last month fans of Major League Baseball took to our nations capital for a week chalked full of fun and family friendly activations and events. While Nationals Park was front and center on TV for the Home Run Derby and MLB All-Star Game, tens of thousands of fans visited the MLB Fan Fest located at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center July 13-17th.

There fans could visit several booths and activations from partners and sponsors of Major League Baseball and participate in a wide variety events and interactive games, but they could also do something new this year – charge their cell phones. In a world where you can order a pizza from your shoe, cell phones have become an apparel accessory for many of us. How many of you feel naked when you go somewhere and your phone dies? That’s exactly how the team at ECM Media feel’s when they are out and get low battery syndrome low on their cell phones.

“Unfortunately, our phone batteries need to charge long before we do,” said Michael Margoles of ECM Media. “When your battery is low your first instinct is to look for a place to charge while you’re out and about. Luckily for fans at the MLB Fan Fest this problem is solved thanks to T-Mobile and their branded cell phone charging tables. It’s a great way for brands to give a free service and connect with consumers on a more engaging platform.” With several tables available at Fan Fest over 50 fans could charge their mobile devices on the charging tables at once.
