Recently, Geopath announced the return of our DMA infographics, revamped with the latest stats and trends. These refreshed infographics include updated statistics about each DMA including population size, top OOH spenders by category, commute info, and a snapshot of the market’s demographics.

This week, we’ll turn our attention to the San Francisco, CA DMA. Out of the top 10 DMAs analyzed so far, San Francisco has the highest median household income at $123,922, almost $15,000 more than the next highest DMA in the top 10. With US tech capital Silicon Valley within this DMA, it’s not surprising to see such income levels comparatively.The DMA’s population has grown about 2.7% from the last iteration of infographics we released in 2021. In this new round of infographics, we are examining top OOH spenders in the DMA by overall category, shedding some light on the industries that most utilize OOH within the market. Given the “big tech” presence in Silicon Valley, and the DMA in general, you’ll notice quite a bit of OOH spending in the tech and communications categories.
