Tips on OOH

—Roadscape

After about 12 weeks of printed copy being on the same location(s)—whether billboards, bus shelters or benches—the OOH copy starts losing its effectiveness. It is becoming part of the roadscape for those that frequently travel by during their day to day. In order to keep the visual interest peeked at these times, we recommend doing one of two things:

  1. Change the OOH copy—as in a new message or simply a background color change. This helps keep it fresh.
  2. Move the OOH copy to a new location(s). Rotating copy when there are multiple messages and/or locations will do wonders for keeping interest up. It will also give the impression a campaign is much larger than it is as people see the message in diverse places.

This OOH Street Tip Today comes from Street Media Group’s, Sr. Account Executive, Dave Menk. Menk has over 25 years of experience in the OOH advertising world, working with clients from small businesses to national advertisers in multiple DMA’s coast to coast.
